A Banker, Financial Consultant, Entrepreneur and a Public Servant. Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu has had a distinguished career in the private sector spanning over 23 years and Five years in the Public sector. Before his appointment as the Honourable Commissioner for Economic planning and budget , he had served as the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Delta State for about four years upto October 2014. He worked in the banking Industry for 21 years starting from the Central Bank of Nigeria in 1989, through merchant/investment banks, and finally commercial banks. His experiences within these years spanned significant areas like in Treasury and financial services as a manager, credit and marketing as an Assistant General manager, investment banking as a General Manager and consumer and retail businesses as a Group Executive. He was also the managing Partner of KAME Benefits Ltd, a consulting firm with specialty in financial Advisory and Organizational diagnosis.
A Nigerian, from Owanta in Ika North East local government of Delta State, Kingsley proceeded with his educational pursuit where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology in 1986, Masters of Science degree Industrial Sociology in 1988, and a Masters in Managerial Psychology (MMP) in 2000 all from University of Ibadan. He was a pioneer student of ESUT Business School Lagos where he obtained a Masters in Business Administration (Marketing) in 1997 and a doctorate degree in management with specialization in organizational leadership from University of Phoenix Arizona in United States in 2012.
Dr Emu also participated in several professional improvement programs overtime. He is an alumnus of Goizueta Business Leadership School, Emory University Atlanta Georgia United States of America and Harvard Business school Boston.
Kingsley’s core competences include Strong leadership and execution skills; Strong background in banking spanning credit and marketing; Remedial Assets Management; Treasury and financial services; Product Development skills; and good background in planning and strategic management.
He is a committed community activist, a mentor, a Christian, an avid golfer and married with children.
